Use and selection
This hex-head roofing type is described for fixing metal roofing to light steel battens and uses a reduced self-drilling point. Record the sheet profile and the batten thickness separately, and identify the fixing position on the roof detail. The reduced-point description identifies a configuration; it does not provide a numerical drilling-thickness range or sealing specification.
Compare the configuration
Commercial Roofing Screw also names a reduced tip but uses a #3 Phillips drive. Painted Hex Head Roofing Screw highlights the painted-head colour requirement. Compare point, head, support and finish together when selecting a roofing configuration.
